How you have inspired me!
Today, I said goodbye to a friend. Brie White Gomez went to be with the Heavenly Father on December 27, 2010 in a tragic accident. She left behind her husband, two daughters and a son that was born prematurely a short time before she died. Brie was always so great to leave sweet comments and encouragement for me on facebook or by text. She was one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She has inspired me to be a better mother and wife. Even though she was younger than I, I looked up to her for inspiration on ways to better raise my own children. Brie will be forever missed. Please check out her blog http://brieericandmaligomez.blogspot.com/, to see what a beautiful person she was!

P90x
I decided a few weeks, maybe a month ago to give P90x a whirl. I have heard so many people say how hard it is and felt that with all the work I have done over the summer that I was ready. I also stopped losing much weight, so I thought it would be good to change it up a bit.
I am on Day 4, so let me start with Day 1.
Day 1 was Shoulders and Back. As I was going through the workout, I felt like it was a good workout, but fairly easy! I was actually surprised by how easy it was. Now mind you, I was not doing the full pull-ups, because I am not strong enough to do that yet! I was using the bands and was performing the modified version...but I was doing it! Now let me tell you, after I finished, I felt accomplished! That night, I laid down for bed and went to sleep. I was sleeping well until about 4 am when Hailee decided to come to bed with me. I reached down to pick her up and my shoulders and upper back were hurting so bad, that I couldn't move! I didn't know if I was having a heart attack or what! Then I remembered that I had the work out and reality of how hard the workout is set in! I took 4 Motrin and eventually went back to sleep!
Day 2 was Pylometrics-let me just tell you, the creator of this workout calls it the "monster of all workouts" and "the beast". I totally agree. It is over an hour of fast movement jumps. If you play any sports, this workout is designed to make you jump farther, run faster, etc, etc! I know I will not be able to jump farther or run faster, for a while! Heck I may not be able to walk!!
Day 3 was Arms and Back- This was a great workout and I felt the burn the entire workout! I am not severely sore today, but can definitely tell I worked out! I went today and bought some more dumb bells and bands, so that I can increase my weight and have more flexibility in the weight department! I am sure I will feel it next week when I do it again! After doing this workout, I was looking forward to the next day...a relaxing day of Yoga!
Day 4 (today) was Yoga- I plugged in the video and pushed play again! By about the 6th down dog- my arms were numb! I was able to do half of the video (which is about 1.5 hours long) in the morning and finished it up in the evening! Whoever said Yoga was easy and for sissy's, wasn't doing it right. I would get in position and hold for the allotted time. By the end of the time, I was trembling, because my muscles couldn't take anymore. There went a relaxing day of Yoga!!
Tomorrow is Day 5-Legs. I look forward to it! I really should invest some stock in Motrin...especially for the next 90 days!
